Pero estos genios no nacieron de la nada y, entre muchas de las influencias que los marcaron, estuvieron las sociedades esot\u00e9ricas y sus doctrinas, el Espiritismo y la Teosof\u00eda entre otras, con Madame Blavatsky como su representante m\u00e1s conocido.<br>En ese Londres victoriano por el que merodeaba Jack el Destripador, estos autores participaban en sesiones mediumn\u00edsticas, intentaban regresar al remoto pasado con ejercicios clarividentes, o jugaban con drogas buscando, no s\u00f3lo la inspiraci\u00f3n para sus obras, sino el origen de la inspiraci\u00f3n, la esencia del acto creador.<br>La Sombra en el Espejo muestra ese mundo tal y como fue, con sus grandezas y miserias, y con un misterio terror\u00edfico que nuestros autores tendr\u00e1n que resolver al estilo de Sherlock Holmes, llev\u00e1ndoles desde las adoquinadas calles de la metr\u00f3poli a Stonehenge, pasando por el Museo Brit\u00e1nico.
